Why does my brand new Galaxy Note 4 turn off when booting up?

A

AC Question

Bought a new Galaxy Note 4 with one battery which works fine. Bought two more original equipment batteries that charge to 100% but when booting they get to the same point and the phone turns off. As soon as the Samsung music plays, 17 seconds into the process, the phone turns off and will not restart until the battery is removed and reinstalled. This is right where the home screen should appear. The same thing happens every time with both batteries at the same point in the process. I am awaiting the seller of the batteries to approve replacement or refund, but is there something other than the batteries being "bad" that could explain this problem?

Welcome to Android Central! So the battery that the phone came with is totally fine, and this never happens while using that battery? If so, then both of those extra batteries are probably defective or fake. It's pretty easy for people to put fake labels on a battery and make you think it's OEM. Ask for a refund.
