When I want to down load an image I get this pop up (Pinterest in this example). View attachment 262178
I follow the prompt to enable or turn on, or off, the setting and its greyed out (button will not function). Some of the apps are not Grey, such as Peelsmart Remote as the example shows. SmartSelectImage_2017-06-18-22-02-49.jpg
The same thing happens when using various other functions as well. Usually I can tap the screen and the pop up goes away then I continue on with that function but not always ad in this case trying to downloading an image. Does anyone have a clue?

I can't do any of that. When I go to apps and try to change the overlay settings, most of the apps are greyed out and won't turn on or off. Not only that but they're all set to *off*. The best I can remember is this may have all started when I downloaded "Tesla Unread" so I could get unread badges with Nova Launcher. I'm going to try uninstalling that.

Nope, I Uninstalled Tesla Unread but still having problems. In fact I can't change any of the permissions on any app with out getting that pop up which takes me to overlay settings most of which won't function.

I can't see the image with the error so I don't know if it's asking you to turn it on or to turn it off... although I don't see why it'd ask you to turn it on.

Here's the error (pop up I keep getting) SmartSelectImage_2017-06-18-22-01-27.jpg

It was on my OP. I'm not sure why it's not there any more or why it appears twice on this reply. When I follow the prompt to the settings most of the on/off switches are greyed out and they're all set to off. The particular one I'm trying to download image from is Pinterest. The same problem hassles me at other times too. I can download using the s pen (smart select) but if the image is too long and you have to scroll to see it all, the s pen can't get the entire image unless there is a way to do that somehow.

When I follow the prompt, this is what I get. Most apps are Greyed out and all are off.

There's nothing left to turn off or anywhere else to go from there.

Got it!!!! YEY!!!! I had to *reset app preferences*. After that nothing was greyed out anymore. I turned them all off again (on the overlay screen) and images download straight to my gallery. I have to redo all my app preferences but oh well.
Thanks you guys for your help.
Google is my friend☺️

Glad you got it sorted out! :) And if anyone else runs into this issue, now we know one more thing to try! :)
