Headphone Mic not working

People can't hear me while I use my headphones. I use the stock ones that came with the phone, also tried my iPhone ones. Still no one can hear me. I am able to hear them though.

Anyone else with the same issue?

Have you checked the jack to make sure there isn't any debris? Use a can of compressed air to blow it out, or a damp toothpick to root around.

Actually my iPhone ones do work... So it must be defected headphones. However someone did complain of lots of static from the Apple ones. But when testing on voice recorder app, the Apple ones sound fine.

I'm having the same problem I just plugged in my OEM Note 5 headphones and suddenly the mic stopped working. All the buttons and earbuds work fine but the mic is not recognizing any sound.

I have same issue with mine. Sometimes someone can hear me, sometimes not. Also button on headphones seems to be not good. I would be able to pause music but not resume it by pressing again.

Trying to return mine but Samsung is giving me a hard time. Seems in general the headphones suck.
