AT&T Text app shows "no ringtone" symbol

I had to do a factory reset of my phone and after it reloaded everything I find that one contact, my daughter, has a "no ringtone" symbol in the corner of her text messages (image attached). I went to her user and changed the ringtone. It works but I still have the symbol there. I cannot figure out what the app thinks is going on. Any ideas?

Open the conversation thread with your daughter, then tap Menu. Is there an option to turn notifications off or on for that thread? Hangouts has an option for this, so I'm guessing that the stock Messaging app would as well.

Excellent guess but my options are: Delet, view contact details, Add/remove recipents, Album, Quick response, Create slideshow, schedule message (My favorite feature!), and block number.

I guess I could delete the thread but it's everything for a year with my daughter. (insert sad face)

EDIT: Actually, maybe it doesn't.:-\ I just tried it on my wife's Note5 running 6.0.1, and I don't see the option there either. Is yours running 6.0.1 as well?
