So I've started using Bixby...and I kinda like it so I'm building some voice commands but it's a bit annoying.

I have one for work to turn in my mobile hotspot, open Spotify and pokemon go.

How ever I find it have to use my voice then grab it from recent commands. I can't just search to open an app. Is there a way around this?

Saying the app name should work. "Open Spotify", for instance. Some apps might need some training (I. E. Corrections) given similar names to other words or something complicated.

Yeah I thought so.

I tried typing
"open application Spotify" and its like nope.

Mean while I tell it to open Spotify and it goes perfect.

yeah, 'application Spotify' would throw it off unless you train it. 'Open Spotify' is the common command (or for any app).

Not sure I understand what you mean by 'backing out'... If it's just opening another app while Spotify is open or another command, long-pressing the Bixby button should do the trick (keep it pressed while you talk). I think you might have to enable that in the Settings for Bixby if it doesn't work right away, though.
