if you've had time to play with the new note and you have a 9 plus, I'm curious as to what you think the advantages would be to swapping (I won't say upgrading ☺️)?

Not much really just something new. Camera software seems better, getting the spen back and maybe battery life. Honestly the battery life isn't really that much different. Probably my only complaint with the phone. I was expecting to get a days use and still have well over 50%, but that is not the case. I'm sure I could get close, but I'm not crippling my phone for slightly better battery life.

For me, the Spen. Bigger battery, bigger screen, more storage, just because it's a Note!!

There's multiple reasons. more storage, more ram, better camera software, bigger battery, bigger screen, spen and upgraded version of Android.

Updated from an S9, but even if I had an S9+ I would have gotten the Note 9. Better screen. Battery as others said is a no-brainer. S-pen I would not have considered a reason until I actually used it. It has some usefulness for sure.

The small software improvements are nice and knowing Sammy's track record it will be a while if ever for the S9's to get it.

Historically, the note series have performed better than the S series. Smoother performance and the battery life is excellent. The extra 2 gigs of ram is also why I went big. And the little software enhancements here and there.

Only wish the 8GB RAM was available on the 128GB model. Didn't pony up for the 512. Too much.

The refined software experience is another reason to upgrade as I'll be doing either in October or black Friday

Slightly different for me.

I've been using the s8 and skipped the s9 as it didn't bring enough to the table for me to upgrade.

This is my first Note series phone and it's a massive leap ahead as an upgrade. :)

I upgraded mostly for the battery. I got really poor battery life out of my S9+ . That, and I just wanted another Note : )

It's my first time trying out a note. Loved my s9+, but had to give this a chance. Plus the larger battery and speakers are really making me happy with my choice. Love the pen as I do art sometimes as well.

Battery. Reason why I sold my 9+ a month after released.

Also I like what SAMSUNG did with the S-Pen.

using the device for almost a week the only difference I see is battery life screen is basically the same I don't use the S Pen

was using S9+ for 5 months...jumped to Note 9...love more screen estate ..boxy look ..bigger battery...S pen and easy to grip than S9+...I had 128gb s9+ now have ocean blue 128gb Note 9
