I've noticed that when I have phone in my pocket that AOD turns off via obviously the front sensor. But I have turned off things like palm capture and smart stay that are using the same sensor.

So what setting is making the phone detect its covered to turn off AOD when covered? Is this a feature of AOD that can't be turned off?

It’s the front proximity sensor, same as when you take a call and the screen turns off.
