Skyrocket randomly shuts off

My Skyrocket shuts off randomly and I cant figure out why. My phone, while not in use (usually at night) will just shut off. I have to hold the power button for 15-30 sec. before it will turn on again. Is anyone else having this issue?
It has been going on since I got the phone in mid-Nov. It has happened both stock ROM and rooted. AT&T gave me a new battery but that did not seem to help. I have not tried a factory reset yet but that is my next step that I am trying to avoid. Any help would be appreciated.

I had this issue but when they released the 2.3.6 update, it stopped. After the update I had an issue with applications not staying active in the background (ie clock app) when going to home and phone going to sleep.

I hard reset and all is fine now.

I had this problem with my first. Had to exchange it for a new one, but this was within a couple of weeks of purchase...
