My phone frequently disconnects from the network and shows Baseband Unknown and IMEI unknown. When this happens the Settings app also crashes instantly or after a few seconds when tapping About.
The only solution is to pull out the battery and wait for several seconds before rebooting. Powering off or rebooting without removing the battery is ineffective. It happens on all modem firmware with the CM10.1 nightly RIL. It even happens on stock ROMs. I even restored my EFS partition from a backup I took long ago.
