I can connect my S10+ to my car via wireless or Bluetooth tethering. I use tasker so can set wifi hotspot to turn on when I'm in the car and off when I get out. Tasker doesn't allow me to control bluetooth tethering, to do that I will have to purchase a plugin.

Is wireless tethering faster then bluetooth? If so by how much?

Does WiFi hotspot drain battery much quicker compared to Bluetooth tethering?

If I leave Bluetooth tethering switched on permanently is there any battery hit? I guess it will only kick in when i'm connected to a Bluetooth device, which will pretty much only ever be my car.

Cheers all.

Your car probably doesn't have anything called Bluetooth tethering. Cars will have a head unit which is paired with your phone.
Bluetooth will operate different, being integrated differently, tasks than Wi-Fi in your car.
This is different than your Wi-Fi creating a Hotspot. There are many good articles to Google or YouTube videos for extended explanations.

My car most definitely can use my phones internet via bluetooth which is a separate option beyond normal Bluetooth connection and my phone has the option to enable/disable this aspect of bluetooth under mobile hotspot and tethering.
