Checked in on my battery a few minutes ago and it looks like Go SMS Pro is using more battery than it should. Anyone have any thoughts on these percentages?

Well from how I am reading it, ur constant texting is keeping the screen on, which is a big battery drainer on any phone if the screen is always on...maybe turn off the screen or lock the phone when ur done texting, or make the time the phone locks shorter...and if ur gonna keep ur phone on for a long time, lower the brightness a bit

I have the screen set to shut off after 15 seconds. Brightness is set to 20 percent.

I did text a lot today. But this just seems like a lot.

Yeah I am guessing it was the constant texting, which also uses some phone power as well. 9 hrs and only 66% is not that bad anyways
U could consider an extended battery...its great

Yeah I have this one but I don't like the bulk that it adds to my phone.

Thanks for replying.

wouldnt the amount of txts sent/recieved use battery power in one of the core apps or processes but the amount of time actualy spent within the go sms app would be shown as go sms.... if that makes sense?

Your texts are also being processed by the stock SMS app in the background, as well as Go SMS Pro, so each text is using an unnecessary extra amount of power. Probably not much, but some. If you are a heavy-duty texter, it could make a difference.

FWIW, I also used Go SMS Pro for a while and decided I didn't like it – it was quite intrusive, screwed with the notification settings, and the font was too small. I uninstalled it and now use the stock app, which works fine for me. YMMV.
