Weird Issue

I just purchased the Active about 2 weeks ago. I always carried my iPhones and Galaxy S3 in my pocket with no problems. Since i have had the active, it has called 911 4 times and i was wondering if there was something i could do to fix. this is the only phone so far that has done this to me.

I'm not an expert on the issue by any means, but heres a thought...my current phone has a proximity sensor on the front that detects whether or not its next to your face so that the touch screen goes dark and locks. Maybe its possible that your phone has a bad one out of the box? Have you tried calling carrier support?
