I don't know if this problem is related to the 4.3 update, but it started happening around the time I got that pushed to me.
When the light sensor turns the screen dark when I bring the phone to my ear for a call, the screen will not illuminate when I pull it away from my head. The screen remains powered down. I have to press the power button to get the screen back to hang up the call. And sometimes, even the power button does not work, and I have to remove the battery.
I've dialed *#0*#0 to get to diagnostic tests. If you wave your hand over that screen, it's supposed to turn green when the sensor activates, and I assume go back to being white when the sensor deactivates. Mine doesn't the sensor doesn't deactivate.
Has anyone else run into this? Is this suspected to be a hardware problem or a software problem?
