i recently purchased a samsung s4 (i9505) from a business liquidation auction, it was previously with vodaphone australia, (there are 2 mai carriers here in aus, vodaphone and Telstra)
i HATE the vodaphone internet homepage which i can't seem to remove.
Q1. i have rooted it and was considering re-flashing the firmware in the hope this may remove the vodaphone crap, will this do the trick ?
on sammobile there are 3 firmwares available, one for optus, one for vodaphone and one unbranded. they all have the same code.
Q2. if i use the unbranded one will this cure my branding issues ?
Q3. one other Q it's running 4.3 whilst the new firmware is for 5.1 so do i need to upgrade first ?
