How do you stop history logs???

I noticed the every call and message is automatically being stored to my contacts. I can choose to delete all the old, but how do I simply stop the phone from saving (logging every message and call to the contact history)

So if you go into your contacts/ Than click on the contacts hit/ then hit the button that brings up setting little button on left/ 1st option is history. You will see all messages and calls.

If anyone knows because I cant seem to figure this out it would be appreciated.
