Do I really need an antivirus app??

Switched from iphone and went to Galaxy S4. Wanted to know if I really need an antivirus app? I have been given mixed opinions and after reading posts in this forum it seems to me most people in here know their stuff. So please fire away. Thanks

If you do a lot of downloading of apps outside of Google play then yes its recommended... But if everything you download is from Google play it's not required IMO.
