Hpw to unsync contacts from a phone when using same google account ?

I have got 2 phones however I gave one to my father and he currently isnt with me. We are using the same google account. Whenever I add a contact on my phone it automatically adds the contact to my father's phone. I would like to know how I can stop that and how I can delete that contact on my fathers phone without having it with me (if its possible).

If you are using the same google account, then both phones will always sync with the same google contacts. One way around this would be, on one of the phones, to store the contacts on the device instead of in google contacts. But then they won't be backed up and if you lose the phone you're cooked.

Why not just create a new Google account for the second phone? It's free and much more private & secure.
