Why does my wifi keep disconnecting and refuses to find networks on my Galaxy S5 Mini?

WiFi keeps disconnecting and refuses to find networks on my Galaxy S5 Mini

I've had my S5 Mini for a little over a month now and it's been working fine up until last week Friday. My WiFi constantly turns off, then 'switches on' for a good 4 or 5 minutes. It stays on for about a minute after that before repeating the process and while it's on I can't find any networks, even those I've been using every day. I can't even directly connect to an SSID because that window closes when it switches off. This is getting really frustrating, does anyone know how to fix this?

Welcome to Android Central! Does the wi-fi radio switch actually turn off, or do you just lose connection?
