My s5 updated to 5.0 two days ago and since then has been slow, has randomly restarted multiple times and doesn't react to screen orientation changes. The phone has also reported that the camera is not working causing me to miss some pictures which were time dependant. The only way to recover this was to restart the phone. The phone is now so sluggish and frustrating to use i am seriously considering getting an iPhone (and i never thought I'd say that! ) Does anyone else have any similar issues or advice on what my problem is?

Hey there,

Start with wiping the cache through boot mode.
If not then a factory reset would fix it for sure.

Have a nice day.

Here's how it's done:

Turn off phone*
Hold down the Home and Volume Up keys*
Press and hold the Power button while still holding the other keys.*
As soon as you see the Samsung logo, release the Power button and wait for the boot menu.*
Press on the Volume Down to scroll down to Wipe Cache Partition.*
Press the Power button to select it.*
Press the Volume down button to highlight "Yes" and press the Power Button to select it.*
Wait for the phone to clear the data.*
Then press the Power button to select reboot system now.*
Wait for your phone to reboot.

Ever since this update I have had nothing but issues. My phone doesn't respond. It is so slow, the battery dies so fast, I have apps that quit in the middle and keep getting a message that contacts has quit. Horrible horrible software update.
