After the Android 5.0 OS update my Galaxy S5 is running much slower than it used it. How can I get it working like it was before?

after Android 5.0 OS update my Galaxy S5 is running much slower than it used it.

All of my apps run slow, especially my camera, Facebook, and Stitcher. My battery goes down faster. Also, I have the zedge app to download ringtones and my phone keeps deleting them.

I personally do a factory reset after I do any update. Updates do not seem to go as smooth as they use to in the past. I know not a lot of people like doing a factory reset but it seems to work in most cases I have seen.
