Private Mode Folder won't release free space

So, I had about 9 gig worth of files (pics/video) in the Private Folder using the Privacy mode on my S5. I wanted that space back, so I moved the files out of privacy mode to another location, then deleted them.

However, the stupid phone is still reserving that 9 gig worth of space in that folder. It shows as "other" in the "my file" and es browser app and when I plug the thing into a computer, windows shows that the private "disk" has 9 gig of used space, even though it is empty.

Anybody have any ideas on what is going on and how I can fix it?

Thanks

You may need to erase the storage to get that free memory back. I'm not sure what's happening - either the data is still being reserved or its not updated to see the change in memory. Have you rebooted to see if that fixes the problem?
