Samsung S6 black screen but phone is on...what to do?

About 20 minutes ago my S6 began flashing a pink-like disco color all over the screen whenever I touched it. When I removed my finger it looked as normal. I turned off the phone and it worked fine when restarted. 10 minutes later I got an email alert but the screen was black. The "arrow back" light and the "windows" light (that flank the Home button) would come on and off and the blue notification alert light flashed but no screen...just black I tried a soft reset (power button and volume down) but nothing. Any suggestions?

Hi, it looks like you may be forced to do a hard reset, or factory reset, same thing. You already did a soft reset which is a reboot. But, if you have information on the device that is not backed up, then look for a way to use a computer to retrieve that data first. Or, if nothing important in storage, then proceed with factory reset. Here is official Samsung procedure.
