I think I'm being hacked

I recently discovered that there is a calendar on my smartphone that belongs to someone (or someBOT) called pandong4545 AT hotmail Dot Com. I had been getting some updates during the summer on my Ashion browser (in case there's a connection somehow) in Far Eastern script, and no one in my family is of Asian descent.

I looked the address up, and it seems to be a more of an Android problem than a Samsung one. I've been told on the Samsung forum to just back up everything and go back to factory settings, which I have every intention of doing, but I was hoping for a less cumbersome solution to this problem (I used Lookout and that didn't detect it).

Has this happened to anyone else? If it did, what did you do? Thanks

Check your accounts. Is there a Hotmail account active there? In the calendar, what about in 'Calendars to Show'? Does it show as a separate calendar? It could have been that either the account got added to your phone or you or someone who used your account/phone could have clicked on a link to subscribe to a 3rd party, shared calendar...which would make you see their schedule in your account.

Where did the phone come from? Is it a used phone you obtained from the after market? Did you wipe it when you first got it? What is the Ashion Browser? When I google it, I get articles about the Samsung Browser, BUT none of them SAY that the Samsung Browser IS Ashion Browser, although it may be. Additionally when I fired up the Samsung Browser on my S8 it did not say it was Ashion. Is this it's internal name or something like "Mozilla" is to Firefox?

Anyways yes I think a factory reset IS in order here.

saw this on the Samsung Members forum as well. I have the same issue, minus the "updates". No problem seems to be coming from it though

Hmm I seriously doubt that as the last dated post was made Sept 25 2017 and today is Oct 20, 2020 which makes it 3 years and 25 days old not 3 years.
I see your getting the point
Well since most of the people in this thread won't be responding, let's talk !

What device you have ?
