Hi.
There is something going on with my phone currently and makes it feel like it's in safe mode but unsure how to revert it.

Here's what happened. I tethered my S7 Edge to another phone with more data and started using YouTube. Then my phone froze and couldn't load anything so thought it was the data connection although my other phone was fine so I restarted my S7 Edge. When it booted back up, I noticed the resolution was very low and felt like I am in a safe mode. Anyone know how I can get out of it?

I have restarted my S7 Edge again on several occasions however it's not going back to normal. I've also tried setting the resolution in settings but it just says the Settings has crashed. I've attached images.

Okay I can confirm my phone is not in Safe Mode. I just turned of the phone, held the power button to turn on and continued to hold passed the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge screen until it just displayed Samsung. I then released the power button and held the volume down button until it booted up fully. Once in Safe Mode, I restarted again to hopefully revert it back but was unsuccessful. I'm hoping I won't have to do a full wipe of the phone but it's looking that way.

Have you already tried booting up into Recovery Mode and wiping the system cache partition? Worth doing just to see if that makes any difference in returning your phone back to normal (and much less drastic than a Factory Reset).

I have tried this and still the same, however, this did come up before it got to the recovery mode. I have updated to Nougat a few days ago so I'm wondering now if it's related.

Just curious but have you tried booting up your phone so it actually is in Safe Mode? Are things like your resolution problem still an issue in Safe Mode?
