This morning , when I set my phone down and didn't look at it for 20 minutes, the screen was frozen at the sprint LTE plus start up screen with the blue LED light lit up. It was getting real hot and I'd held down on the power button for a while... NOTHING. And I didn't restart the phone so I don't know how it happened.

I thought I was going have to take it to the Sprint store.

I finally pressed the down / up volume key and the home key and power button at the same time. A screen popped up about doing something to the OS. I hit down for cancel and it started itself back up again FINALLY. And it drained the battery down to 15% and it was at about 45% before this happened.

I have no idea what happened.

Before charging the phone see if there's something unusual in your battery stats. Maybe an app went wild in the background.

Too late... I turned off the phone and I'm charging it to cool it off. :( It was at 14% right before I put it on the charger. I had my e-mail open, I think but that's about it.

Maybe there's still time. Try to see the battery stats before it reaches 90% and the new cycle starts.

I think it's too late. Because I turned it off and charged it. It was at 38% when I took it off the charger.

Here's screenshots of Gsam and battery usage.

You can change in Gsam the 'since last unplugged' option to 'since last full charge' in the triangle icon bottom right.

No idea of that first entry. What's in your stock battery stats? Anything different or more detailed?

Unfortunately, I don't think my phone is rooted so... I usually can't get more detail. Not without installing a ABD (or whatever it is) on my computer.
