Is there something wrong with my phone? Android Services is at top and uses way more than anything else even the screen. I see that some other people also have this issue. What is the fix? Even last night I fully charged it and took it off the charger while I slept. I lost 14% in 6 hours not even touching phone. I do have the always on display turned on.

Day 1 with the S7 was terrible, 13 hours of battery (100% to 0%) with 3.5 hours of screen time. Day 2 was much better with 33 hours (100% to 20%) and almost 4 hours of screen time. I'm hoping that will be the norm.

I would guess it would improve more after a week or 2

First full charge with setting yup the phone I got just over 18 hours with 5 hours and 34 minutes screen on time. Second day using it normally I got 25 hours with 2 hours and 42 minutes screen time. Thats not bad but thats still half of what I would normaly get with my droid turbo. Over the years with the razer maxx, maxx and then turbo I have been spoiled with getting up to 3 days of normal light use out of the phones. All the reviews are saying the s7 is the holly grail of android phones with this super screen and crazy camera. The screen seems no better then my droid turbo and in some cases seems washed out. The camera is better but has distortion when looking at strait lines. Motarolas always on screen is much much better then samsungs version. The turbo has better sound from the speakers. The s7 in normal use doesn't seem any faster then the turbo. So far the things I like about the s7 are the size. With a case on its the same size as the turbo without a case. I also like the finger print reader. I will see how it goes over the next few days.

Get the edge? It's not even much bigger in the hand, it's thinner and the battery is much better. I wasn't big on edge phones but this is the reason I bought one over the regular s7.

Truthfully not much of a fan of the edge phones. Just not my thing. It's also bigger (taller and wider) then the turbo and I did't want a phone any bigger. I figured with the efficiencies of marshmallow the 820 and a 3000 mah battery it would last as long as a 3900 mah battery and processor combo from 2 years ago.

Any way to get the gear VR app to stop using so much battery? It's used over 10% in 12 hours. Might not seem like much, but in 12 hours I went from 100% to 29%. SOT is 3 hours and 18 minutes.

My S7 smashed it yesterday 30 hours battery on time with 4hours on screen time. I had a busy day so didn't use the phone that much but again im more then happy with that. On average im getting around 20-24hours battery on time with around 6 hours on screen time. This more then a full day for me as im not usually awake for 20-24 hours at any one time. Im more then satisfied with my battery performance so im going to stop monitoring now and just enjoy the phone. Also the fast charge is great, I have to Samsung have done a great job.

It's the Android System eating up your battery like the Cookie Monster eats cookies.

As far as I know this bug is only affecting Snapdragon variants with T-Mobile. It seems to be a software bug. I'm sure it'll be fixed in an update very soon.

T-mobile had this same bug with the Galaxy s6 edge plus. disappointed that they still haven't fixed it.

I was thinking that same thing.
I did not get S6 because I was concerned about the fixed battery and though on Metro PCS I felt the S6 Battery was too small for a heavy user.

There were a few things with VOLTE Calling and possibly WIFI I think affecting battery life on S6 on Tmo- right ?

Anyone on Tmobile getting the *equivalent of 5 to 6.5 hours of SOT ?

*Equivalent -if you are at 4 hours SOT with 18% to 30% left ...you are there.

Tmobile Guys- if there is a VOLTE feature try turning that OFF for a cycle or two..

And if WIFI is OFF make sure that 'scanning for WIFI signal' is OFF also ...

Also Location unless you are using GPS or you are James Bond does not need to be on and you can turn off SYNC and see if that helps.

I wonder if Android System with up to 4 Gigs of RAM is doing all sorts of Battery Eating stuff in the background- you can restrict background Apps to 4 or even just clear out the 'Recent' Apps using Recent Button and close them if there are many still running.

I'm not sure how much of an impact Knox has on battery life, but I have disabled it and other bloatware using Package Uninstaller Pro. I'm looking at 16 hours battery life today.

I am not finding Package Uninstaller Pro in the Play store. I'm finding many with similar names, and one just called "Uninstaller Pro".

I also have Android System responsible for 43% of my battery drain. I tried to force stop Knox, but it restarts itself.

Poor signal today with half of the day having no 3g or 4g, also travelling for a few hours. Pleased with the results of 4 hours screen time and overall on battery for over 14 hours. Can't wait to see what it does when I am in my normal work this week.

I have experienced the same. The 1st day was bad but much better after its first full charge. A couple days later it seems even better.

Knox drained 16% of my battery. Not sure how to fix that
