disappointed in battery life [Samsung Galaxy S7]

Now that's strange. Battery life was always terrible on the S6 for most users and reviewers. Now it's being praised.

The thing with the S6 is you can get really good battery life with heaps of tweaks and turning stuff off.

With the S7 it's actually expected that Samsung sorted it out with a bigger battery and battery optimization.

From the sounds of things Samsung didn't do much for the S7 battery optimization, well at least we got a bigger battery.

Where can I find this Package Uninstaller Pro to uninstall the bloatware and Knox?
I too have a 15-33% capacity wasted by Knox, and no way to uninstall it. At this point, I don't care what not having it breaks, I just want my full battery life.

Anyone know the best noninvasive way to remove this? I cannot find this mentioned Uninstaller on the Play Store or Online.

Surprising to hear. Substantially larger battery in the S7 with a much more efficient processor along with Marshmallow which is a significant OS improvement. Let it settle in for a few days while the phone does its updates, indexing, etc. and definitely report back!

my suggestion as well

GSam showing I'm averaging over 7hrs of screen on time. It's achievable with some tweaks. And that's with WiFi on in a s#&t signal area and Bluetooth on all the time

What's the big obsession with screen on time? Everyone uses their phone differently. What if you're streaming music at work all day with Pandora, etc. You're sot would be low

Well today I am quite happy. I resolved the issue with Exchange calendar updates destroying my battery life.

I did my normal workday stuff with average browsing etc. I forgot my Garmin edge going on a bike ride so used the phone and google fitness to track my hour long ride (it reports status every mile through the speaker too as well as using gps). When I got home at 7:30 I had 60% battery left. Android system still took 24% and Android OS 15% of my battery, that is still quite high IMO.

I have to say I have been extremely impressed with the battery life of my s7 over the last 7 days. It's seems to just keep improving. I have been using it moderately with a few text,a few pictures here and there, browsing the net, music over headphones, a few apps and light games, great battery can easily get a full day no problem.

Then today I decided to get some games from play store. I was playing angry birds 2 for about an hour and it ripped through the battery. Phone was hot and battery drained very fast. I was surprised as it has been so great with battery power. Cpu and Gpu power hungry games will eat battery faster but I was surprised at how fast it did. It's not a problem as I expected it to drain quicker but not that quick. But I suppose that would be the same for any phone/laptop.
