T-mobile not so Evil Snapdragon with latest firmware update.
I'm a moderate user getting 5.5 - 6Hr SOT spread with hin 2.5 days then recharge at 20% or so.
I'm more then happy with but wanted to take it step further , Last night I decided Netflix time making it 1/4 way through episode 7 of Breaking Bad
My setup,
:Screen Brightness 80%
:LTE-VOLTE enabled
:Weather Underground 2 hour refresh.
:Rain Alarm Pro - Auto refresh
:Gmail Push active.
:Samsung Pay:
Screen shot Graph info 1 Day-14 Hour use summery.
4/9 100% off charger device slept overnight 12 hours 3% loss to start day 4/10.
4/10 stared with normal use - Emails , Texting , Twitter , Milk Music , Internet , Samsung pay use , blah blah blah.
Late day 72% 1.5 Hr SOT had been racked up & it was Netflix time
App played through evening then device sleep at 33%
4/11 wake-up 2% loss during 8 hr sleep & it was Netflix time once again.
Device ran so cool very little heat generated good stuff.
If I was daily power user 8Hr + SOT very possible on T version with latest firmware
How? Well that's what latest T-mobile firmware update provided. How did you only lose 3% of battery life overnight, especially over 12 hours. Also how are your Android OS and Android System so low?
I also have the T-Mobile variant of the S7 Edge and this my battery life overnight for 6 hours. It started from 95% (or 93%) and ended with 87% also I had power saving mode on and do not disturb. How? Well that's what latest T-mobile firmware update provided.
Before update performance was good I had no complaints, after update it's even better much lower Android System numbers....heck Playstore numbers are sometime higher then Android System on my device by a couple %. Just depends how device is played.
T-mobile update was game changer major performance boost on many levels.
Hopefully other carries will follow soon
Not bad but will get much better after ATT releases firmware update that addresses Android System use.....hopefully it comes soon for you guys.Currently at 20 hours and 30 minutes on battery and 5 hours and 55 minutes of screen on time, at 1%. AT&T Snapdragon. This is all with pretty damn heavy use...I'm always buried in my phone. All this involved setting up the bluetooth to Ford SYNC in my car and playing some music, lots of youtube viewing, lots of facebook/twitter, texting, bluetooth file transfers, very minimal wifi use, auto brightness, email syncs set to 2 hours for two accounts, lots of setting tweekings and exploring the phone (I've only had it for about a week now), lots of Tinder and Tinder messages, tons of web browsing, taking pictures. I was initially concerned about this phone's battery life...but it turns out I was just having anxiety every time it got down to 60%, thinking it would die in a couple hours. The battery life doesn't suddenly drop off after hitting 50% like my 3 year old phone did. Overall, I'd really recommend this phone. A less intensive user could probably get even more SOT and battery life. Screenshots to follow... (phone just died as I was typing this on a desktop lol)
Edit: Screenshots (I ended up with 5 hours and 55 minutes, but didn't get a screenshot before it died
Adding:
It hurts my eyes , nails on chalk board seeing screen shots with 1% battery remaining.
That my friend is battery abuse lol
Right on I get it just had to make comment lolThis is the first time I've actually let the phone die. I don't plan on doing it but maybe a few times a year as I hear this helps calibrate the battery. I've read to keep it north of 50% as much as you can, which is what I usually do. Just wanted to get a benchmark.
