Hello!
I recently purchased a Galaxy S7 I was told was the unlocked model. When I received the phone the firmware in the settings confirmed the 930U model. However I recently discovered the phone is actually a 930P model that has had the 930U firmware flashed on it. The phone works just fine on the carrier I use so that's not a problem. My only concern is potential future updates. The phone updated to the latest security patch that released for the 930U in March when I first booted up, so I assume I will continue to receive updates. Can anyone verify if that's the case for phones running different firmwares?
Thanks!
