I swiped to the left and it shows "Remove effect". If it's not there click on the auto effect. It should appear after that. For some reason auto makes it look too yellow (at least on my phone).

So how do I keep it from doing auto depth effects?

Assuming you are not using Selective Focus, you have to stand back a couple feet when taking the picture to get everything within the depth of field. To get what you want in frame, you can crop the picture afterwards (best) or use zoom while taking the picture.
