Samsung S8 notification icons at tge top of the screen are black

Recently I noticed that the notification icons at the top of my screen are black, rather than the white that they used to be. I have Nova Launcher Prime running but I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it. They are fine when I open other apps, it just annoying because it means I can't have and wallpapers that are dark at the top.

Try this. Go to Nova Settings > Look & Feel. Scroll down and under Notification bar, check if dark icons is toggled on. If so, turn it off. That may do it.
