Hi. Sorry if it's already been answered elsewhere, but does wireless charging work while a phone is in a case or if it has one of the very thin protective covers on it?
Cheers.
There are some cases whereby wireless charging won't work, but for the most part they do work through the case. It has worked through all the cases that I have had.
I am using the supcase unicorn beetle pro on my s9+ and the wireless charging works flawlessly. On my previous s7, I used a LifeProof case and it also worked well.
Wireless chargers have a range where the induction works. One brand I know of, Tronsmart, lists their chargers as having 0.5cm range, so as long as the distance between charging pad and phone coil is within that, it would work.
i have used both an otterbox and the samsung rugged case with 2 different wireless chargers (samsung at home, aftermarket mount in truck) and have not had problems with either, and both chargers were bought when i got my s7
