S9* Ringtone is reseting to Silent

The ringtone on my S9+ is constantly resetting to "Silent". I have it set to a ringtone that I downloaded from Zedge. I can set it, close settings, open it again and it will be set to my selected ringtone. When I check it a few hours later, it is set to "Silent". I discovered it after I missed a call. Any ideas what is causing this?

Zedge acts up in the weird way ... it even changes my home screen ... what the hell ...???
Save all your ringtones and delete "Uninsatll" it .. problem solves ...

yes i like Zedge but after saving the tones i want i uninstall it.had a creepy experience with my XZP.

I found additional information on another forum. It appears that the Ring Doorbell app may be causing this. They suggested removing system control permissions for the Ring app. I have done this and will report back after some testing.
