I've seen lots of discussion on this forum about Bixby.... maybe I'm old-fashioned, but as far as I'm concerned I paid for my device, it's mine!, and I want complete control of it, which means that I don't want anybody or anything else using CPU cycles on my device without my express consent. In other words, I want to completely and permanently get rid of Bixby. Or as the Munchkin coroner averred, I want to make sure that Bixby is not only merely dead, but really most sincerely dead. I've gone through lots of postings on this and other forums discussing this issue and offering suggestions, but nothing seems to permanently work. I can't tell you how many times I've "force stopped" the five Bixby-related apps (e.g., "Bixby" voice wake-up, Bixby Home, Bixby Service, Bixby Vision and Bixby Voice) only to see that one or more of them have automatically restarted anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours after I've "force stopped" them. I know there are a couple of aps out there that purport to be able to delete Bixby, but I'm reluctant to shell out any money unless I know that something will really work and will also not harm other functions on the device. Or does Samsung's rendition of Android really have Bixby so interconnected that it can't be gotten rid of?
