I would like to use a wired microphone to record sounds on my Tab A 8, SMT-380. How can you do that without getting sounds from the integrated microphone as well. If you record video with a bluetooth headset, you will get sound from both sources. I suppose it would help to use a TRRS adapter, but there is no information describing the "headphone" jack.

Is it possible to use a USB C microphone without adapter applications? I would rather have one that plus in the 1/8 inch jack, in the usual (old) way.

So you are saying the Tab A SMT-380 has a combination headset jack, and not a stereo headphone jack? I would rather have one that simply plugs in the 1/8 inch jack, in the usual (old) way, without a special plug or soldering. I no longer do any prototyping.
Can you recommend a pre-made adapter?

Yes, according to all; my searching and the operator's book, The Tab A 8 only has a stereo headphone jack, which only prov ide an audio output- not an input. You will need to use a Bluetooth ore USB microphone for audio input.
