My Supersu Binary update failed on my Galaxy Tab S, what should I do?

AC Question

supersu binary update failed galaxy tab s

I attempted to root my galaxy tab s running lollipop but I think I messed up because root checker said it wasn't installed properly.
Later I came back to the device and noticed that there was an app installed supersu, when i tried opening it it said there was a binary update so I let it do its thing and then it said it had failed and that I should reboot and try again.
I then went onto the playstore and updated the app as i would any other app but when i went back on it after it had finished the same thing happened!
I just want to remove root from my device, even a factory reset didn't get rid of the supersu app.

Please help me, this is really bugging me :(

Welcome to Android Central!

Go in to the settings of SuperSU and there should be a option to unroot. See if that works.
