Is there a way to make the S2 start silently?

I can do that only if I have it on Mute before I shut it off, but otherwise it will play its musical tunes when I turn it on. I asked the Samsung guy at the BestBuy and he said that's the only way. There should be a way to turn it off. It serves no purpose.

The only other way I know of is to root and use a file explorer to remove the startup sound file.

I use Silent Boot for my Note Pro 12.2 and my Note 5. Works well and no root required.

Strangely that app works on my S2 8 but not on my S2 9.7. It worked on the 9.7 also at first but no longer. Why? I don't know.

Any new solutions? That start up sound annoys me. And the app continues to work on my 8 but not on my 9, even tho I've removed and reinstalled it on the 9.

The only way I found is to have the volume all the way down, if you turn off sound when shutting it down, there won't be any noise on start up.
