Perhaps a complete factory reset could possibly alleviate your experience. Personally I updated mine almost a week ago and did a factory reset and it's running smoothly other the noticing my battery life depleat 2% faster compared Nougat but atleast my standby time has improved compared to 7.0 so I won't complain.I have the 128GB version of the S3 (Best Buy Exclusive) and got the 8.0 update on Friday. I am not a happy camper. Since the update my tablet is slower to open apps. Opera Browser, one of the fastest around is not opening web sites as quickly as it did prior to the update. Calling up Apps from the settings menu takes much longer to load. WiFi performance has become erratic. I have a 400 mpbs internet connection wired and usually get 230-280 on WiFi. Running speed test apps will initially yield ping times of 90-250. My ping times are normally around 20. Repeat tests show better results but web sites still open more slowly than they did previously. I did a wipe of the partition cache but it had no impact. IMHO, Samsung has really dropped the ball on the initial Oreo update. After some more use and testing I'm going to call Samsung Support to express my displeasure over what they've done to my rather expensive device.
