Why does my battery show 100% when it's not?

A

AC Question

This happend to me a couple times now. Let's say I had 20% battery left and I charge my tab for 1 1/2 hours, it shows my battery is at 100%. I know this is not true because there is no way my tab charges that fast. After I use it for a while, it resets to 65% or whatever percentage it really charged to. No matter how short of time I charge, it always says 100%. Is there a way to fix this or is there an app that shows my battery accurately. And if it helps, I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 (SM-T33ONU).

Welcome to Android Central! Try recalibrating the battery sensor software. Charge up to 100%, then use the tablet until it shuts down automatically from low battery. Then charge back up to 100%, and repeat the cycle 3 times.

You should only have to cycle it one time.
