Can you use it with a thick case?

Would also like to know if anyone who is using Samsung Pay if they have cases on their phones or not. I've never been a fan of cases, however after dropping my phone 5 times at the gym this morning it's time to get a case. So with that, do any users of Samsung Pay have cases on their phones, and does it interfere with the signal when transmitting?
