Hi everyone,
I'm on my second Android phone (Spring Epic 4G Touch - Galaxy SII) and would like to know more about the platform itself. I rooted my 1st Android phone (Galaxy S) and loved it. Only, I didn't know how to flash new ROMs on the device and thus couldn't upgrade the phones software, which did suck after a while....very unstable...slow.
I'd like to know the following and hope that the good people on this forum could point me in the right direction so I can really learn and understand whats going on inside my phone:
1. How do I backup what is currently in my phone (ie: applications, current-UNROOTED-ROM, application settings/databases, internal memory)?
2. How do I flash new ROMs onto my phone? I'd like to experiment with newer versions of the Android OS that may come out and use custom ROMs for various reasons.
3. What power/battery management systems do you recommend/prefer?
I rely heavily on my Galazy SII for my business (AdvancedDRSolutions.com) and need to be sure that I can backup/restore the system in the event I lose my phone and need to replace it.
Your thoughts/suggestions would be most appreciated....THANKS!!!!
