Sprint Airave broken antenna

I just received my Airave less than a week ago and it has greatly improved our cell reception. Unfortunately last night our dog was trying to retrieve a toy and in the process pawed at one of the cables knocking the Airave off the bookshelf and breaking the plastic antenna.

While I can snap on the long piece to the part that screws into the main unit, the coax connection has been broken and the signal just isn't the same. So, here are a few questions for the more technically inclined:

First and most simple, does Sprint or Samsung have a replacement available to purchase and who do I contact if there is?

Should I unplug the Airave until a new antenna arrives to avoid damage to the unit from an improper antenna connection?

While unscrewing the anttena I noticed that the connection appears to be an SMA type, the same as on my police scanners and portable ham radio. Is it advisable to use a stock antenna from one of these radios either until a replacement arrives or as a permanent substitute?

Any help would be appreciated.
