Kies connection error

What does this error mean?

I am trying to use Kies in conjunction with this thread.

I have a rooted SG2, but I do not think it is 100% stable. Since day one of "rooting" this device, it has acted "rooted" to install root-required apps, but it has not allowed me to install ROMs. I would like to go back to stock and start over, but I am wondering what impact not connecting to Kies will have?

I am on Samsung Kies version 2.1.0.11095_121. I reinstalled it as well, but still no connection. The WiFi Kies gives me the same error message.

I unrooted successfully! The first attempt was a fail (see link referenced above). I pulled out my SDHC card and reimaged successfully. NOW, I can connect with Kies... Interesting. I wonder if all my troubles were due to the SDHC being installed during these attempts??
