Can't receive pics from iphone at all or only spuratically?

I have a Galaxy S3 (Tmobile) and my sister, sister in law and brother in law have i phones (5 and 4S). I never get pictures from my sister (5) or my brother in law(4S) when they send them and only *maybe* get one out of ten that my sister in law sends me from her 5. I don't have any issues getting pics from my in laws who also have an android phone. Is there some sort of setting that anyone knows about that needs to be changed on my phone or the i phones to fix this? BTW, I have never been an i phone owner, always android so there are no apple settings associated with my name or phone number...
