Former iPhone user, do you get better AT&T reception with Android?

I hear mixed reviews on AT&T. I know it is not as good as Verizon but it appears most people who complain the loudest about AT&T have the iPhone. My question is do any former iPhone users notice a significant increase in call quality and reception after switching to Android (Backflip, Aria, or N1).

Thanks

Short answer yes. There were several places where I would have issues w/ my iPhone. With my N1 it seems to hold the signal better. I live in Houston so there's not a lot of coverage issues here.

I've never had issues with AT&T here in Chicago and I own multiple phones that I switch back and forth with on the network.
