Any help would be appriacted. maybe just a link your something to a easy/1 clik root method. I want to install the [6.25.11][ROM] BAMF Sense 3.0 GB RC3 ....... I need help sorry.

Nope, sorry. We're actually quite lucky that there's a method to root it at all, given the steps HTC put in to prevent it.

Without getting too technical, the real issue is the signed boot loader. Even if you could get a 1-click solution to "work", the bootloader would still be locked, so you wouldn't be able to install unsigned ROMS (so what's the point?!?).

The easiest way to root the device is by using the AUTO-ROOT procedure

This is the same method as the using adb, but the author has been nice enough to script the necessary commands.

Also, this is just my advice that you can take or leave with a grain of salt...if the adb root process intimidates you at this point, then I wouldn't recommend installing any ROMs classified as betas or release candidates either. They will require a bit more patience (and tweaking!) than your standard stable ROMs. If you really want Gingerbread, I'd start with one of the BAMF 2.1 ROMs instead. Again, just my 2?

As the guy above me said, Auto Root is as easy as it gets for the Thunderbolt. However, it is extremely simple and you should have no problem using it.

Thanks for the advice. I did the ADB root method. Wasn't bad at all. Longest party was downloading the zip files. Went well, phone was rooted and then it decided to update to the latest (april) update and my root was gone!!! Will the latest firmware un-root the phone???

Once rooted how do I flash custom ROM's that I download?? or such as the new BAMF Sense 3.0 GB RC3

Once you root, DO NOT INSTALL ANY OFFICIAL UPDATES.
