Fed Ex just dropped off the Google Fi sim card, 1 step done.

Never set up a Sammy phone and am wondering if I can copy settings, contacts, etc. from the Pixel 3 to the 10+, like I did Pixel to Pixel.

I have a pixel 3 xl that I will be upgrading from, does Samsung have a data migration tool of some sort that transfers stuff by connect them together? my pixel did that when I upgraded from the iPhone

Samsung has an app for that

You can restore from cloud backup which will restore apps from app store but not app settings. Similarly for phone setting since they are different OEM phones, most settings may not be restored.

As far as contacts, pictures, calendar etc, hopefully you are using Google so that they are backed up and syncs automatically to every device you connect with your Google account.

Or you can also use Samsung smart switch which will guide you thru the restore process from your Pixel.

I am using Google - I have complete faith I'll be able to handle this task with mature patience, grace, and an array of really bad words.

Yeah, I usually sign in with google to get my contacts transferred over, and play the rest by ear. Samsung phones take me longer to get set up because there is so much customization built in.

Since I've never had a Samsung phone, I am really looking forward to it.

The first Samsung phone I had was the Note 7. It's fun getting new phones, and being able to tinker around the settings finding new stuff. Plus we'll be here to help!

Mine was the S2 or Epic 4g Touch. Went from that to the N3 and the rest is history. Been a Samsung/Note stan for a while now. The forums are indeed a wealth of information. And fun. Don't forget fun.

I was diehard iOS until the HTC One M8 came out. Had the M8 and M9. Since then I've been going between iOS, HTC, and Samsung. Currently have the iPhone XS Max and the HTC U12+.

Never had iOS nor HTC. I went from Nokia, to Motorola Razr, to Blackberry, to Samsung. What was the Evo? I can remember jonesing for that but don't remember which I ended up with.

I still like them. They don't have any real presence anymore, but the U12+ is a great phone. Of course, they still haven't updated the US version to Pie so that's a problem.
