I'm right there with you sooks...I hate the 2.1 app drawer (tried the .apk) and I would rather have the drawing slide out...I still need to read up some more on how to make backups when rooting...I have the root update.zip on my sdcard all ready to go. Where is the BEST place to go looking for ROMS? And do not tell me google search bar pleaseee

Yes Sir. You can always unroot. Its easy and some of the roms are fun. Just like you I was a bit unsure also.

a guy i work with jus got a eris. the salesman told him that 2.1 was coming to it next week. used it as a total selling tool. i had to tell him no it wasnt, he was pretty upset. i said the droid doesnt even have it yet. he said the salesman told me tho.....lol

Wow talk about being yanked into "tool-age".
I'm totally surprised that this crazy thread is still going strong... and of course with no confirmation of when 2.1 is going to rear it's ugly head. I just hope this means that they're making it more refined and user friendly.

What I said earlier, I was adding my 2 cents in because I am just as frustrated as all of you but mine MUCH worse because I don't have a Droid or ANY android device yet until May 2010 so I have to wait to get mine so my frustration is kicked up a notch more because at least you can do something about it!! But for Prometheus to bash me was uncalled for! Fine! I don't have to be here if you are gonna do that!
