11/21/2011: VZW Nexus (Unconfirmed)

I'm surprised if this comes out at all tomorrow because I've had a sneaking suspicion as the bogus dates passed that it would be on Black Friday. That would really make sense, since so many are trying to make an impact this season. Many, many stores are opening at 12am (we went to the outlet last year, which opened at 10pm on Thanksgiving night, which was super fun! Nothing else was open until 4am though). I really want this phone, but I super do not want to wait in line. Used to be that it wasn't so crazy, but down in the south, Black Friday really is truly awful. I really need to do it at Best Buy so that I can do the additional line magic with a dumb phone.

Acworth represent! Just moved here from NJ back in June.

It's no more correct than:

If it's not out 11/21, it's definitely coming 11/25.

If it's not out 11/21, it's definitely coming 12/31.

The only thing we can count on is that nobody knows. An unannounced release wouldn't surprise me at all though. In Verizon's mind, they feel that will let them get more Razr/Resound units sold.

Yup. The Galaxy Nexus will get probably close to nothing when it comes to marketing. That would include not making a big deal of the actual launch (availability) of the device once you can buy it. It will probably just happen.

Everyone seems to put so much on the 21st, most likely it won't come. I hope it does but all this seems to be artificial hype building by constantly switching dates and "leaking" it to forums and sites like these. IMO

Love me some Crackworf. My family moved to Acworth in 1991, and we've been here for 20 years after moving from Chicago, IL. I was 6 then, and it looks so much better than it did then! But less trees. :(

On-topic: I don't think it will be the 21st at all, though that is when Google's contest ends. I have to wonder if the Dec. 8th date is for other carriers (read: hope), but I have no idea what the exclusivity agreement is, and that's one hell of a small window. All I can say is that I'm looking forward to LTE. After my Fascinate was stolen my second day at a new teaching job, I've been hankering for something new while using my brother's "old" Droid 2. We shall see. My b-day was the 16th and I was hoping to drop some serious cash on this device...I ended up with a Keurig, lol, but still looking to spend.

Well so much for an early morning pre-order today. Maybe we will at least get an announcement of a date later today.

Well, another day begins and no nexus announced.Im still thinking its not going to be black friday tho either.Dec 8th or Dec.15th maybe?

The longer this release drags out, emptying the contents of my wallet on a Keurig, sounds more enticing by the minute.:)

I hate this silence from Verizon and Google.

I doubt it will happen but, maybe it's too early and, we will know something later. I believe the Razr didn't show up online until 8:00AM.

Once again I called and spoke to a phone rep. Said I wanted to upgrade all of my lines with the Galaxy Nexus. She said okay and started the process. After doing some looking and putting me on hold she apologized and said that the phone has not launched yet and she was familiar with the phone and surprised it was not in the system yet because she was trained on the Galaxy Nexus last week.

Why are they training on the device and not releasing it? It sounds like they usually train and release. So when you call the phone agents expect it to be for sale and it isn't. All of them have given their personal opinion when asked, that it probably is coming out very soon, one even said this week.

You know what I completely forgot? The Samsung/Googler press conference was delayed by a few weeks when Steve Jobs died.

So it's been over a month since the presser, but even longer since it was originally scheduled.

The complete and utter silence is baffling.
