This 12/8 date came from one sketchy looking picture. Do we know the source? On XDA, a poster said it was only meant for authorized retailers and that Verizon stores should get iit sooner...mayber even sooner than that for Web Only.
All I'm saying is the good news is just a reliable as the bad news.

I guess for me I'm just going to assume the worst so I don't have another day like Friday where I was way more disappointed than a normal human being should be over a cell phone.

I just got my $345 credit from Verizon plus my any 2 so its really hard not to go out and get a new phone now.if I rent a rezound I will only have 1 exchange so this credit is burning a hole in my pocket

I'm surprised if this comes out at all tomorrow because I've had a sneaking suspicion as the bogus dates passed that it would be on Black Friday. That would really make sense, since so many are trying to make an impact this season. Many, many stores are opening at 12am (we went to the outlet last year, which opened at 10pm on Thanksgiving night, which was super fun! Nothing else was open until 4am though). I really want this phone, but I super do not want to wait in line. Used to be that it wasn't so crazy, but down in the south, Black Friday really is truly awful. I really need to do it at Best Buy so that I can do the additional line magic with a dumb phone.
Knowing Verizon, they wont even announce it. You may wake up tomorrow and see a Galaxy Nexus chillin on their website for pre order without hearing single a peep from them. Shoot, I wont mind that at all.
So how fair is this statement do you guys think:

I'm really thinking the same thing. I'm almost positive this is what will happen if it does launch the 21st.
It's no more correct than:
If it's not out 11/21, it's definitely coming 11/25.

The only thing we can count on is that nobody knows. An unannounced release wouldn't surprise me at all though. In Verizon's mind, they feel that will let them get more Razr/Resound units sold.
